How to Make The Chewiest Chocolate Chip Cookies


Chai Spice Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe

It’s been almost a year since we started posting our recipes and we decided to repost our first and one of our personal favorites for you to enjoy. This delicious chai chocolate chip cookie is crispy on the outside and all chewy chocolate goodness on the inside. Imagine biting into a small, sweet warm chocolaty baguette!

Makes 36 cookies

  • 1 cup butter (softened)
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons cardamom,
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • Mix 1 ½ cup Ghirardelli dark chocolate chunks with 1 ½ cup butterscotch chips
  • Pre heat oven to 350

Spray or coat a baking sheet lightly with oil or butter. (Set aside)

Mix together in a bowl,

flour, cinnamon, cardamom, baking powder and salt. (Set aside)

Place white and brown sugar in a mixer along with the butter.

Mix until creamy and well blended.

Add eggs one at a time

After the eggs are incorporated, slow the mixer and add the flour mixture.

Just before the flour is mixed in add the chips. Stop when the chips are just mixed in.

Do not over mix... this leads to tough cookies which usually no one wants! If you are the type of person that likes that sort of thing then be our guest and overmix.

Place a heaping tablespoon of cookie dough on the cookie sheet, leave about two inches in between all cookies. Bake until starting to turn a golden brown.

Eat till you can't possibly eat any more.
